The evolution of the heart of humanity - Healing messages on the Heartbeat Podcast

In October I was a guest on the Heartbeat Podcast, hosted by the lovely Elizabeth Bogart, to talk about tarot.

We inevitably got into reading a message for the collective for the Full Moon Eclipse in Taurus - a profound celestial event whose energy will be with us for some time.

While the full tarot episode hasn’t been aired yet, the collective reading and sneak peak is. Listen to Elizabeth and me talk it out.

Simple Full Moon Tarot Spread:

  1. What needs to be released or forgiven?

  2. What is the Full Moon Illuminating?

  3. What comes next?

  4. BONUS! Card underneath for what you don’t see coming.

You know what's truly fascinating about this reading?

Take a look at the images on these cards - we delve into it on the podcast as well, but let me share what transpired after the recording.

The day following the podcast session, I visited King Spa, a Korean Spa in Niles. In a serendipitous moment, the podcast's sneak peek was released, bringing the cards' imagery vividly to mind. Picture this – I found myself in the pool room, immersed in the cold tub, and the experience felt like living out the cards. I couldn't help but burst into laughter at this delightful coincidence. This, I believe, is precisely how our relationship with tarot should be – not just a concept, but an extension of ourselves. Make it feel like home, where the archetypes, characters, and symbols resonate deeply with aspects of your being that yearn to be acknowledged.

In the initial hour, a friend joined me, and we decided to have our own personal full moon cards read, using the same spread I discuss in this podcast.

To our astonishment, the card that emerged for both of us in the same position ("What is being illuminated?”) was the 4 of cups in reverse.

It's noteworthy that the cup symbolizes water and emotions. Considering the prominence of water in the podcast's collective oracle reading, it's intriguing. When I encounter a 4 in tarot, I think of structure – the four walls containing a body. In the traditional Rider Waite Smith imagery, we see a person sitting under a tree with folded arms. The ace of cups is being offered – an opportunity for love or perhaps a chance to feel truly alive. However, the 4 of cups, when reversed, suggests either stubbornness or a protective stance, withholding energy from satisfaction. The individual depicted doesn't need what's being offered. So, ask yourself, are you genuinely satisfied?

The liberatory meaning of this card is civil unrest – a refusal to obey. We know what we want, and we'll protect it at all costs. The alluring ace of cups, whatever it represents in this case, is not being accepted. I’m thinking of questions like - what are our blocks to feeling? What are or aren’t we willing to tolerate as the foundation of our ability to feel, to give and receive feelings of love and connection?

This is a time that we need to embrace and process tremendous amounts of grief and to keep our hearts open at the same time. This marks an evolution of the heart of humanity.
